Overview
Rachel, a prominent lawyer, attended law school with Dex, and she had quite the crush on him at the time. However, she never acted on her feelings, and now Dex is engaged to her best friend, a rather shallow woman named Darcy. Rachel is bookish and perpetually single, and she and Darcy are very different people. Still, as annoying as Darcy can be, she is a devoted friend, so Rachel feels very guilty when she begins seeing Dex behind her back. Dex quickly realizes that he is much better suited to Rachel than to Darcy, but neither of them can bring themselves to reveal that to Darcy. As the wedding gets closer, they become more and more desperate to find a way to be together.
