Overview
Sidney Prescott, the main character in the previous three Scream movies, is an author and is returning to Woodsboro ten years later as part of a promotional tour for her self help book. Ghostface resumes killing students at Woodsboro High School. Among his victims are Sidney's younger cousin, Jill's, friends. Sidney teams up with Gale and Dewey to end the murders; however, they must learn from the new generation. Many inhabitants of the town, including two police officers who arrive to investigate, are murdered. Sidney also narrowly escapes being murdered. Through a twist of plot, the killer's identity is surprising.
