Joseph, a crooked cop, finds a puzzle box at a crime scene and solves it. He begins to have bizarre, violent hallucinations. Meanwhile, he is on the trail of a kidnapper and killer known as The Engineer who he thinks may be connected to the murder where the puzzle box was left. However, as he begins to pursue this line of questioning, the Engineer, who is believed to have abducted a child, begins killing Joseph's colleagues and leaving severed fingers belonging to the child with their bodies. Joseph then learns that the man he believes is his psychiatrist is actually a Cenobite, Pinhead. Joseph is in a kind of hell due to his corrupt ways and has been from the time he solved the box. |
