Overview
When policeman Mac McDonald loses his son in an accident, he becomes bitter and angry against what he sees as an unjust world. He is angry with God for taking his son away and his bonds with the rest of his family begin to unravel. Then he is assigned a new partner, Sam, who is happy in his life as a family man and a part-time pastor. With their vastly different experiences and lives, Sam attempts to get Mac back in tune with God and help him put his life back together.
