Overview
When summer hits, the Wildcat crew heads to the country club. Sharpay Evans, eager to woo Troy Bolton and keep him in her sights, lands a job for him at the country club that her parents founded. Troy, in turn, gets summer positions for all of his friends, including his girlfriend, Gabriella Montez. When the club's annual talent show draws near, songwriter Kelsi Nielsen comes up with a song for Troy and Gabriella to sing together. Sharpay, however, takes the song and plans to sing it with Troy, who is willing to go along with the plan in the hopes of earning a valuable scholarship. When he comes to his senses, he realizes he doesn't want to leave his true friends and goes back to sing with them in the end.
