Overview
It seems that Nate's bad luck has finally run out for good. While playing trumpet in a jazz band, Nate is caught with the wife of a powerful mobster, Happy Shannon, who orders one of his men to take Nate out into the desert and shoot him. But when Nate's assassin is ambushed and killed by indians, he wanders the desert until he stumbles upon a traveling show that features a woman with wings named Lily. Nate plans to offer Lily to Shannon as a money-making exhibit to make up for his indiscretion with Shannon's wife. In time Nate realizes that he has fallen for Lily, and he must come to her rescue when she is taken prisoner by Shannon and his men.
