Overview
Ice Road Truckers is a reality television series that follows real life drivers who take the most dangerous routes in the world. They drive trucks across frozen lakes and snow covered ground in Arctic areas like Alaska and parts of Canada. The Deadliest Roads spinoff visits deadly roads around the world. The Himalayas have narrow roads that twist and turn dangerously from Delhi to Shimla. They take extreme tests of skill and nerves of steel to traverse these mountain roads. Many truckers are dispatched in these areas to bring supplies to areas cut off by storms, which makes it even more dangerous. In South America, the roads are just as deadly. The Andes Mountains have many twisty roads that could cause a truck to overturn. A salt flat is another dangerous place for truckers since it can hide mud under the salt surface. These are a few of the situations that truckers must face when hauling their important loads.
