Overview
Michael, the son of a funeral director, has grown indifferent to his father and decides to join a Seminary instead of pursuing his current career. However, he becomes overwhelmed with what appears to be a lack of faith during the courses that he takes. Upon seeing a young girl die helplessly in the street and performing a ritual for her as she dies, he begins to doubt his faith even more. However, his mentor and friend believes that he is worthy and has faith, and directs him to visit Italy in order to strengthen his Christian beliefs, as well as to take a special course about exorcism. He ends up meeting a Jesuit exorcist who goes by the name of Father Lucas, who although has unorthodox methods, proves that they are effective. Upon witnessing a sixteen-year-old girl go through an exorcism, his faith is shaken, thus leading him into a journey into the truth behind exorcisms, as well as his own faith.
