| Overview
Dr. Gulliver has been gone from his family for years. When he returns, his wife and son find him living in the horse stable. He relates a fantastic tale of his travels. He's been committed to an asylum for insane people and recounts his travels. He starts by telling them of his shipwreck on the island of Lilliput, which is an island of tiny people. He's a giant among them. He must flee from there and ends up in the land of Brobdingnag where giants live. In the insane asylum, his doctor is trying to keep Gulliver away from his wife because he wants her for himself. The doctor moves Gulliver to another institution where Gulliver continues his account of what happened to him while he was gone. He talks of his travels after leaving the giant land when he was discovered by a floating island, and his later trip by boat when pirates attack and drag him to the island of Houyhnhnm. |
