Overview
A platoon of American soldiers is deployed to northeast Afghanistan to fight the Taliban. They set up position in the dangerous Korangal Valley which they soon label the Valley of Death. The platoon encounters local opposition from Taliban fighters and residents alike. After several fatalities, they attempt to connect with the locals, but the harsh and dangerous conditions of the valley sap their morale. As they prepare for a major offensive to clear the area of Taliban fighters, the soldiers wonder who will be left alive.
