In the near future, robots have become common in daily life. However, malfunctioning robots pose a danger to the people. These robots, deemed "runaways," are corralled and disposed of by special police officers trained in robotics. Sgt. Ramsay is somewhat of an expert in this field, which makes him quite the opposite of his new partner, Karen Thompson. While out on the job, the two discover that some robots have been programmed to override their own safety features and attack humans. Trying to trace to source of these dangerous circuit boards leads the pair into a world of heat-seeking bullets and double crossing girlfriends. Will an evil researcher use his robotic knowledge to gain power and money, or will Ramsay and his partner be able to stop him in time? |
