Dr. Stanley Shephard is an anthropologist who is known the world over for his work and his discoveries. During an Arctic expedition, Dr. Shephard finds the discovery of a lifetime sealed in an Arctic glacier. It is a prehistoric man perfectly preserved and still alive. Dr. Shephard releases the prehistoric man from the ice and nurses him to health. Dr. Shephard is hesitant to release the news of this discovery because he knows what the scientific community will want. Despite his efforts to keep the discovery quiet, Dr. Shephard's iceman is announced to the world and, as Dr. Shephard had feared, the scientific community wants to subject the iceman to tests and dissection. The doctor takes a stand to protect the iceman at all costs.
