Overview
Ben Crandall and his friends are obsessed with the idea of alien life in outer space. Ben and his friends also happen to be geniuses who are pursuing a series of innovative breakthroughs that could change the world. One night, Ben has a vivid dream where he sees a circuit board he cannot explain. When he awakens, the dream is still fresh in his head so he sketches out the circuit board and brings it to his friends. They begin working on the circuit board and realize that Ben has had a dream about interstellar travel. They build a space ship and set off for the stars to find the aliens that they have been dreaming about for years. The hope is that the aliens will be friendly, the reality may be something very different.
