Overview
A mistaken identity plagues Rudy Robles. As a proud Mexican-American, Robles served in the United States Army and currently resides in East Los Angeles. As a favor to his mother, Robles drives to a factory to pick up his cousin. Immigration officials show up just as Robles enters the factory. Having forgotten his wallet at home, Robles is considered an illegal immigrant based on his appearance alone. He is immediately bused to Mexico and dropped off. Robles has no money or identification. Robles must use his powers of persuasion to make money and find a way back across the border. Finding two unlikely friends in a waitress and ex-convict, it is Robles against the U.S. Border agents. Through Coyote transport and simple sneaking around, Robles uses every trick in the book to get back home to East L.A.
