Overview
Thumbelina is a tiny girl, the result of a magical wish. One day she is singing and meets a handsome fairy price who is just her size. They fall in love, but before they can wed, Thumbelina is kidnapped by Mrs. Toad. A swallow named Jacquimo frees Thumbelina and is helping her home when they meet up with some beetles. Berkeley Beetle wants Thumbelina to sing at his ball and she agrees, but she’s treated badly there once her costume falls off and they realize she is a girl and not a butterfly. Meanwhile, Cornelius the fairy prince is trying to rescue Thumbelina, but is thwarted by weather and dangerous jitterbugs. Eventually he and Thumbelina are reunited and she becomes a fairy princess.
