Overview
Rooster is a club manager who has the difficult task of keeping everything running smoothly at the joint he runs in the Prohobition-era South. In addition to dealing with the constant fear that the cops will come and bust up his club because of its illegal activities, Rooster has to contend with gangsters and keep his own performances on the stage as sharp as possible. Meanwhile, his business partner Percival has problems of his own. Percival is the piano player for the club, and he is madly in love with a woman named Angel. Unfortunately for him, he is also beholden to his father, who desperately needs him, and he is forced to make a difficult decision to determine which one means more to him.
