Young Australian, Jim Craig, has been gone a few years rounding up a band of Brumby horses in the mountains. He hopes to sell the horses and build a stake for himself and his girlfriend, Jessica Harrison. However, when he returns to Snowy River, he finds that Jessica is being courted by Alistair Patton, the wealthy son of a local banker. Jessica’s father is totally against her renewing a relationship with Jim. Realizing that Jessica doesn't care for him, Alistair concocts a malicious plan with a gang of thugs to steal Jim’s horses. Jim gives chase, and Alistair wounds him in a gun battle. Jessica’s father now realizes that he was wrong about Jim, and they join forces to find Patton and his gang. |
