Overview
Zane Zaminski is an astronomer who has just made a historic discovery: A transmission from space that proves the existence of life 14 light years from earth. Zaminski takes the information to his supervisors, but is shocked to learn soon after that he has been fired. Determined to continue his research, Zaminski puts together his own equipment to track down the signal. He succeeds, but the message is being disrupted by a radio station in Mexico. Zaminski travels there to investigate, only to find that the radio station in ashes and a power plant that may be at the center of the mystery. The more Zaminski learns, the more his life is in danger from people desperate to keep their secret.
