Overview
In the deepest unexplored jungles of Africa, the native tribes whisper in hushed tones of a strange creature that made them ill when they ate it. Calling it Mokele-Mbembe, they can draw only crude likenesses of it. When paleontologist Susan Matthews-Loomis and her husband George see one of these drawings, they cannot resist going to investigate. What they discover could change the scientific world forever. Unfortunately, there are others after the secret, with far less benign intentions. This riveting and heartwarming adventure follows the race to reunite a family and save a reclusive and benign creature from extinction, while answering the oft-murmured question of 'what if they still exist?'
