Overview
It’s always a little stressful when a family throws a wedding, and for the Hopper family it’s especially so. Eddie Hopper just wants to give his oldest daughter Betsy a beautiful celebration, one big enough to impress his daughter’s snobbish and wealthy future in-laws. But finances are challenging, bad enough that Eddie decides to take the advice of his shady brother-in-law Oscar. Oscar gets Eddie involved with some shady money lenders. When they send some muscle to keep watch over Eddie in case he gets twitchy about their deal, the muscle, a guy named Steve, starts to fall for Eddie’s younger daughter, a police woman named Connie. Betsy’s wedding gets more interesting than anyone bargained for.
