Overview
Finding herself drifting through life, Renata Bella attends a seminar where she meets the dazzling older salesman Sam Sharpe. Sam falls in love and after sweeping Renata off her feet, she takes him home to meet her family. Sam is overeager in his attempt to endear himself to the Bella family and his preoccupation with Renata's life, his abrasiveness, and his incessant chain smoking cause problems cause problems for the couple and conflict between Renata and her family.
