Overview
Jimmy Rabbitte is a singer who wants to put together the best band in Ireland. He sets off to find a group of musicians that will fill all of the spots he needs with the energy and talent he is demanding. Through his travels, he meets a lot of very talented and unique individuals and he eventually does find the people he feels can help him make his dream come true. He calls his band The Commitments, and he starts on a journey to be known as the hardest working and most talented band in Dublin, Ireland. After a while, Jimmy sets his sights on being known by more than just Irish pub regulars. He wants his band to become one of the most popular in the world.
