Overview
Four men armed with heavy weapons hijack a subway in Manhattan. The head of the gang is a man named Ryder. When calling to demand negotiations, he's connected to a negotiator named Walter Garber. Garber is a supervisor who's far out of his depth, only being temporarily demoted to that position while he's being investigated for suspected bribery. Ryder demands that Garber be the sole negotiator in the proceedings. He also demands to be given ten million dollars within an hour or he and his crew will begin to shoot their hostages. The question is whether Ryder and Garber have any past history, and whether the economy and news crews can pull through. With high stakes and everybody in danger, can everybody survive?
