Overview
Dennis Alan is a Harvard anthropology professor dispatched to Haiti by a pharmaceutical company. Rumors have been heard regarding a drug used by various voodoo practitioners that can render a recipient paralyzed, though still conscious. Dennis' task is to look into the zombie legend and its connection to the drug, as well as that drug's implementation in the future as a strong anaesthetic by the pharmaceutical company that sent him. Aiding with his investigation is Marielle, a local doctor who runs an area clinic. Amidst political turmoil and rampant police corruption in chaotic Haiti, Dennis discovers a horrific reality behind the voodoo rituals. With that knowledge in hand, Dennis must decide what is real, what is legend and what is destined to remain forever hidden.
