Overview
Julia Biggs is a choir leader and the wife of Reverend Henry Biggs. Their previously happy marriage is suffering because Henry pours all of his time into the church and has very little left over for her. What's more, a tycoon named Joe Hamilton wants to buy the church as part of his property development plan. Henry is at the end of his rope, so he prays for divine assistance, and he receives an answer to his prayer in the form of an angel named Dudley. The stranger quickly bonds with their son Jeremiah, but the adults are more suspicious of his intentions. Meanwhile, he finds himself distracted by the alluring Julia, relishing his time with her even as he strives to heal her marriage.
