Thornton Mellon is a highly successful businessman who made his money by selling clothes in the big and tall market. When his latest marriage falls apart, Thornton, feeling as though he’s neglected his son, pays Jason a visit in college. Upon arriving, Thornton catches his son in several lies including his position on the diving team and how he feels about college. When Jason confesses he is ready to drop out, Thornton decides to support his son by joining him in college and earning the degree he never received. Thornton’s idea of hard work, however, is paying others to do it. Caught in the act, he must now prove to his son and the college that he can honestly earn his degree.
