Overview
Tom O'Meara is an honest cop dealing with a crisis involving his partner. Despite the distraction, O'Meara does a favor for a judge when he takes in a visitor from Northern Ireland, Rory Devaney. But Devaney's real name is Frankie McGuire, a ruthless member of the Irish Republican Army who is responsible for the death of several British soldiers and police. McGuire has come to the United States to buy weapons. O'Meara strikes up a friendship with McGuire, but becomes suspicious about his real reasons for coming to the U.S. When he learns McGuire's true identity and motives, he is torn between doing his duty and sympathizing for McGuire's real reasons for joining the IRA.
