Overview
While on vacation at a spa in a small town, Amy quickly finds herself falling in love with the masseur, Virgil. Blind since three years old, Virgil teaches Amy to use the senses she takes for granted. She begins sensing the world in a whole new way, all while falling deeper and deeper in love. When Amy finds out about a surgery that could help Virgil regain his sight, the couple travels to New York together to have it done, despite Virgil's sister objecting. Although he regains his sense of sight, Virgil still must learn to comprehend what he is seeing, and this puts a strain on Virgil and Amy's relationship. The couple is really pushed to the limits when Virgil's vision begins to fade again.
