John and Russell are down on their luck. Nothing seems to be going right for them. To help break them out of their funk, John suggests that they enlist in the army. He says it will be just like going to a health spa. Once they arrive, the wisecracking John finds himself constantly at odds with their drill sergeant. John becomes the leader of the platoon, which is filled with likeable losers who need some confidence. After graduation from boot camp, John ditches the platoon to chase girls. The men of the platoon are trapped behind the Iron Curtain in a misadventure. John must come to the rescue, showing the timid men of the platoon that they have the skill and confidence to lead themselves to victory. |
