Overview
Colonel Samuel Troutman releases John Rambo from prison for a high-risk mission involving POWs in Vietnam. Rambo, a former Green Beret, is told to only take pictures of where the prisoners are being held. However, in true Rambo form, he decides to try to save the POWs as well. He saves one and heads for the chopper at his rendezvous point. He finds that a corrupt superior, Marshal Murdock, has pulled the helicopter because he learned Rambo had a live POW with him. Rambo then gets captured. After barely surviving in horrendous conditions, he makes his way out of the camp--saving prisoners and killing the enemies in his path.
