Overview
Negotiator Terry Thorne is known as one of the best, so he is hired to help resolve a hostage situation in South American between drug dealers and engineer Peter Bowman. The company funding Thorne goes bankrupt before the situation is resolved, and only Bowman’s wife Alice wants Thorne to continue with the talks and promise to make payments if he will stay. He warns Alice that she will likely go bankrupt herself if she wants her husband back, and with that in mind, he begins working even harder.
