Living in South Central Los Angeles, Justice is a struggling young poet that works at a local hair salon. With her cat as her only true companion, Justice stays safe from the hard streets by working and writing poetry most of the time. Justice gets a chance to go to a hair show up in Northern California. With her car in the shop, she accepts a ride in a postal carrier vehicle with her friends Iesha and Chicago. Another man, named Lucky, is also on his way north. Justice remembers Lucky from a failed flirting attempt in the hair salon a few days ago. She is not sure about riding with Lucky, but she has no choice. As the foursome travels, Justice and Lucky soon find that they have more in common than they ever thought possible. These two friends must maneuver through the tough L.A. streets when they return to keep their bond alive. |
