Overview
Near a California gold mining settlement some time after the Gold Rush, an encampment of independent prospectors struggle to make their fortune and build lives in the wild as a local landowner tries to push them out and take their claims. After a vicious attack, Megan Wheeler prays to God for a miracle. Shortly after, a man on a pale horse appears in town. Wearing a black vest and a white collar, the miners believe him to be a preacher. But this servant of God doesn't aid the prospectors with prayer. Instead, he shows them God's wrath at work.
