Temperature records for over a century are compared, and a concentration of the hottest years during that time is shown to be in the two most recent decades. Satellite images are presented to provide compelling visual evidence of the retreat of glaciers. The results of several scientific studies are examined that connect global warming with increases in hurricane activity. A case is presented that the changes are largely the result of human activity. A sense of urgency is suggested as the only realistic approach to avoid potential climatic catastrophe in the future. |
