Overview
This musical romance focuses on the mid-life crisis of an Italian filmmaker named Guido Contini as he approaches his 50th birthday and the premiere of his ninth movie. Faced with a severe case of writer's block, Contini conjures up all of the women, both living and deceased, who played leading lady roles in his life. His conversations with each challenging female, played out to the hilt in his imagination, takes its inspiration from noted Italian producer Federico Fellini's celebrated film about his life called "8 1/2".
