Overview
Bleek Gilliam has a promising career as a member of his own jazz quartet, The Bleek Quintet. On stage, he dazzles audiences with smooth sounds. Off stage, he find it difficult to settle down and commit to one woman. Bleek has a great girlfriend in Indigo, but is seduced by the beautiful Clarke. Meanwhile, the band's manager, Giant, tries to get the nightclub owner to pay the band more money. They are attracting large crowds. He fails at that and in solving his own serious gambling debt. Bleek and the quartet struggle over personal and financial issues, which leads to Bleek sustaining a career changing injury. He loses both women and his ability to earn a living as a musician. His fate depends on Indigo.
