Nora McPhee is on her own trying to raise her son, Michael, while dealing with money troubles. She hasn't seen her father, Max Dugan, since she was nine years old. So it's no wonder she's shocked when he shows up on her doorstep one day holding a suitcase of money. Max has a heart ailment and doesn't have much time left, but he's hoping to make amends with his daughter and grandson. Nora can't help but be wary, not only of her father's sudden appearance, but also of the money he's supposedly earned while working in Las Vegas. Nora's new boyfriend, Brian Costello, is a police officer who is also wondering about Max and his motives. |
