Overview
Matilda is a sweet, intelligent little girl with some big problems. Her parents see no joy in life and she has a bratty brother. When Matilda's parents send her to a new school, she also has to deal with a principal who dislikes children. Matilda is befriended by her new teacher and finds an ally. Matilda also discovers that she has telekinetic powers and it starts getting her into trouble. She soon learns to control them however, and uses them as a means to get back at all the cruel people in her life.
