Overview
A forensic psychologist named Dr. Alex Cross assists the Secret Service in attempting to locate Gary Soneji, a psychopath who teaches in a private Washington, D.C. school. Gary Soneji uses his influence within the school along with his knowledge of kidnapping in order to abduct Megan, the child of United States senator Frank Rose. The detective charged with investigating this crime, Ollie MacArthur, is extremely angry with Secret Service agent Jezzie Flannigan for allowing this kidnapping to occur. However, he later on relies upon Jezzie to help him gain insight into the case in order to catch the kidnapper and rescue the child. This leads them to understand that a great deal more is at stake than the kidnapping of one child, and that Gary Soneji has much larger plans.
