The owner of the Cleveland Indians is looking to move the team to a warmer climate, but the Indians need to have a horrible season before she can make the move. While the owner is trying to sabotage the season, veteran catcher Jake Taylor and team manager Lou Brown are trying to make a run at the playoffs. The team is made up of misfits and professionals past their prime, which only helps the owner's cause. But Taylor and Brown pull the team together, and start to embark on a winning season. The owner takes away warm water for showers and gives the team a broken down bus to travel in, but Taylor and Brown are determined to take that one last shot each of them may have at a playoff berth.
