Overview
Following the sudden death of their mutual friends, Holly and Eric find themselves the legal guardians of their friends' infant daughter. Although they are barely able to tolerate one another, and in no way prepared to face raising a child, the pair move in together and attempt to fulfill their friends' wishes. It quickly becomes apparent that they have very different views on childrearing and life in general, as they also try to avoid admitting a growing attraction to one another. Romantic complications ensue, making home life difficult. When Eric is offered an opportunity to move away, Holly refuses to go. Time apart makes them both realize how much they need the other, but both stubbornly refuse to admit it until it may be too late to restore their little family to order.
