New York City resident Michael Cromwell's life takes a startling turn when he learns that he has a 13-year-old son. What's more, that son has been raised in the jungle with limited exposure to the modern world, so connecting with him is not the easiest of tasks. Mimi-Siku is a pleasant lad, but his way of interacting with the world is very different from what Michael is used to. The two find themselves immersed in a classic fish out of water situation as Mimi-Siku tries to adapt to life in the big city, finding many joys and complications he never imagined. The visit is quite the education. Meanwhile, the day is coming when he will have to decide which world he wants to inhabit permanently. |
