Overview
Ollie Trinke is a successful publicist from New York. He meets and marries the love of his life, Gertrude, and the two are soon expecting a child. Everything changes for Ollie, though, when Gertrude dies in childbirth. Devastated by Gertrude’s death, Ollie moves himself and his daughter to New Jersey to live with his father. Ollie buries himself in his work and neglects his fatherly duties, relying on his own father to take care of his daughter, Gertie. However, when the stress and grief that Ollie feels become too much to handle, he makes a fatal error at work and loses his job. Ollie then vows to be the best father in the world. He puts all of his attention on Gertie, refuses to date, and strives to revive his career. With the help of his father, daughter, and a new friend named Maya, Ollie learns that family is the most important thing in life.
