Sabrina Peterson is an eager young journalist who is keen to make a difference in the world by exposing corruption and evil deeds. Of course, journalism itself is a rather nasty business, and she doesn't mind breaking a few rules in order to get the story. She is particularly unscrupulous when it comes to dealing with Peter Brackett, a reporter for a competing Chicago newspaper. Peter is cynical and jaded, and he's certainly done a few underhanded things in his day, so she doesn't feel too guilty scooping him, and he gives as good as he gets. Their rivalry intensifies when they chase the same story about a cancer-causing chemical company, but it could turn to romance when they find themselves having to work together. |
