Overview
Fletch becomes a suspect in a murder case and is forced to prove his innocence. He is sent to Boston by his girlfriend to recover a stolen art collection to be ransomed for her kidnapped father. Using fake identities, he meets the people he thinks were involved in the attempt to frame him for the theft and murder. His girlfriend's stepmother suspects her and her brother of the kidnapping. The art dealer with the art pieces reveals he committed the murder to frame Fletch and sell them. It turns out the kidnapped man faked the ordeal to test his family.
