Overview
Michael Peterson, a decorated Marine Corps veteran and successful crime writer, becomes the prime suspect in a homicide case that fully explains the paradox of truth always being stranger than fiction. This fictional production dramatizes the award-winning documentary about the real Peterson murder case, which unfolded in North Carolina at a time when reality television was coming of age, and which culminated 17 years later with a strange twist. The strange coincidence of another mysterious staircase death, which took place in 1985 while Peterson lived in Germany, is depicted with slight variations from two of the various books written about him.
