Overview
The film adaptation of a popular play in London is disrupted when the director hired to do the job is murdered. Laughter and chills ensue as crotchety Inspector Stoppard and the enthusiastic Constable Stalker form an unlikely alliance to solve the murder. They find themselves knee deep in the unsavory underworld of the movie business in the 1950s. The suspects are gathered and questioned, often with hilarious results. Constable Stalker is a life long film fan and often injects her personal opinions about the actors/suspects into the conversation. The road to solving the mystery is full of false starts and exasperation.
