Overview
Jadin is an Oregon teenager who is being bullied in school. He works up the courage to tell his parents that the reason for the bullying is that he's gay. His father, Joe, struggles but works hard to accept his son's orientation. However, the bullying gets worse and Jadin ends up committing suicide. Devastated, Joe sets out to walk across America to raise awareness about bullying and accepting children for who they are. The journey is arduous and one of deep self-reflection for Joe as he confronts his son's death and how he may have failed him.
