Overview
Emperor penguin Mumble is born with a birth defect. He has no ability to sing as the other penguins do, although he has a different talent, tap dancing. Mumble attempts to use his talent for dance in place of his missing voice, but instead finds himself ostracized by the group and unable to win the heart of the penguin he adores. He leaves the colony and eventually winds up in a sea creature attraction in Australia, where his dancing talent eventually comes to light. He released back into the wild with a tracking device, finds his way back to his colony where he is now welcomed, and a research following him discovers the dangers of trash and overfishing to the penguins, resulting in new laws to protect them. Plus, Mumble gets the girl.
