Overview
Based on famous composer Andrew Lloyd Webber's hit Broadway production, "Cats" follows the story of a tribe of underground, inner-city felines called the Jellicles. The musical was initially inspired by a collection of T.S. Eliot poems published in his collection, "Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats." The story takes place on the evening when the group's leader, Old Deuteronomy, makes his choice of which cat will make the journey to the "Heaviside Layer" to start a new Jellicle life above ground.
